It saddens me to report that our friend, fellow amateur operator and Editor Emeritus of The BLURB passed away from colon cancer earlier today.
Dan was a stalwart and generous friend to all who knew him. He was thrilled by the friendships he formed with so many Philmonters and other amateurs and enjoyed tremendously these new relationships formed as a middle-aged man. He enjoyed operating and all facets of the hobby. As he experienced life these past several years he felt fortunate to have a community of amateur radio friends.
His wife, Lisa Begnini reminds us all that Dan and family held a celebration of his life in early May and thus there will be no funeral or wake. His body will be composted at a facility in Washington state and some months later returned to the earth to nourish plantings at family sites and elsewhere.
Please hold his wife, Lisa Begnini, his parents, Tom and Diane Wagaman, and his brother, Jim, in your thoughts.
"Any man`s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind. And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee." --John Donne (1572 - 1631)
Stay well; 'cause life is beautiful.
